Wednesday March 26 Arrival by bus in Karleby at about 9 p.m. The families pick up their guests. The rest of the evening with the family.
Thursday March 27 Assembly at Karleby svenska gymnasium, meeting with the rest of the school at 10 o’clock. Possibility to attend lessons.
Lunch at school.
In the afternoon a guided sight-seeing tour in the town of Kokkola.
Freetime in the town centre with the hosts.
Dinner in the family.
Evening programme: A welcome party at school.
Friday March 28 Visits to local industries; boat and house building and chemical industry.

Saturday March 29 Day free to spend with the family.
Evening programme organised by the students.
Sunday March 30 Morning free. Lunch in the family.
At 3 p.m departure to Kronoby folkhögskola (15 km). An adventure in the Finnish nature, organised and supervised by professional wilderness guides. Possibility to stay overnight.
Monday March 31 Morning continues outdoors.
Recovery in the Kokkola Swimming Centre with sauna and pools.
Afternoon lessons at school.
Evening: Winter activities (skating, skiing, snow sculpturing, sledging…)
Tuesday April 1 Getting to know the Finnish society. Visits to local institutions in small groups according to one’s own choice, together with hosts.
For instance kindergartens, a local newspaper a church/congregation, a museum, a youth facility, the environment office,the tourist office…
Documentation of the project at school.
Evening: A ”Farewell to Kokkola – dinner” together.
Wednesday April 2 Departure by bus to Tampere in the morning. Possibility to visit the city of Tampere (200 000 inhabitants) in the afternoon. (shopping, museum, the Cathedral)
